Rejoicing in Assurance: The Foundation of Gospel-Centered Living #1875 (Prose)

Rejoicing in Assurance: The Foundation of Gospel-Centered Living In the quiet depths of a believer's heart lies a gift, a sacred assurance. It's not found in the grandeur of miracles or the spectacle of feats untold, but in the ancient, bold story of salvation. "Rejoice as citizens of heaven," He said, "not in the power that makes demons flee." For the true joy, the profound rejoicing, comes from knowing our names are inscribed in the light of heaven, outshining even the darkest, most wondrous night. Miracles, though grand and awe-inspiring, can lead us astray when self takes the throne and pride holds sway. The assurance of salvation, pure and steadfast, anchors the soul in a love that is secure and unshakable. In the registry of heaven, our names shine brightly, a testament to divine grace. It's not by our works or deeds that we are saved, but by His mercy and holy name. The essence of the gospel becomes clear in this assurance we hold dear. It aligns our lives with heaven's purpose and design. So let our joy be deeply rooted in the promise of salvation, undisputed and eternal. Rejoicing in this assurance, we find our way in the light of the gospel, day by day, living lives that reflect its true essence and honor the One who gave us this precious gift. -Steven G.
