The Narrow Gate #2033 (Poem)

The Narrow Gate The gospel's call, through grace and mercy shines, The Son of Man, our Savior, intertwines, With God’s own Son, the Christ, He shows the way, To bear His mind, a challenge every day. Grace, a gift so freely given, yet profound, Not cheaply bought, in love it must be found. Difficult the path, so few will tread, Yet leads to life, where faithful hearts are led. Few discover, in this world's fleeting haste, God’s grace and mercy, in its purest taste. Merciful, merciful, to neighbors poor, Reflect the Lord's compassion, evermore. The narrow gate, the way is hard to find, Yet promises a peace of heart and mind. Be merciful, as God is unto you, In grace and love, His path you will pursue. Amen, we echo in the still of night, Guided by Christ, we seek His holy light. Through narrow gates, with faith our hearts aligned, In grace and mercy, true life we shall find. -Steven G. Lee (June 29, 2024)
