Spiritual Perception Beyond the Miracles: Understanding the Math of Jesus #2079

Spiritual Perception Beyond the Miracles: Understanding the Math of Jesus In fields of doubt and minds confined, Where reason's bounds are tightly lined, A Teacher spoke of bread and fish, Of baskets full, an endless dish. Five loaves for five thousand fed, With twelve full baskets left instead, Seven loaves for four thousand more, And seven baskets still in store. Not numbers here we ought to see, But signs of deeper mystery, Provision from a hand divine, Beyond the realm of space and time. Beware the leaven, He implores, Of Pharisees with hardened cores, Of Sadducees, their hearts of stone, Of Herod’s ways that seed hath sown. For in their yeast lies hidden blight, Corruption masked in robes of white, Hypocrisy that blinds the eye, And veils the truth with every lie. Oh, see beyond the bread and fish, To where the heavens freely wish, To pour their blessings, grace untold, In measures neither bought nor sold. Perceive the math of miracles, Not with the mind, but with the soul, Where faith transcends the earthly ken, And God provides again, again. Spiritual sight, the call to heed, To look beyond our want and need, To trust in Him who multiplies, The humble gifts and lowly cries. In fields of doubt and hearts confined, Let spiritual wisdom guide the mind, Beyond the sums our eyes behold, To truths that miracles unfold. -Steven G. Lee (June 30, 2024)
