The Finger of God #2030

The Finger of God On Sinai's peak, amid the thunderous sound, God’s finger carved His word in stone, profound. Two tablets of the Testimony, sacred and true, Divine laws for guidance, for the chosen few. In ages hence, in a dusty street, Amidst accusations, in the scorching heat, A woman trembled, judged and scorned, Yet love and mercy were reborn. But Jesus, with a calm and tender grace, Knelt and wrote upon the dusty place. With each stroke, the silent truth He laid, God’s mercy in every line conveyed. “The finger of God,” in actions bold, From ancient stone to dirt so cold, Proclaims a message, ever new, In whispers soft: “I still love you.” -Steven G.
