Transcendent Love: Beyond Reciprocity #2009
Transcendent Love: Beyond Reciprocity
In the echo of ancient words,
A challenge from the heart of Christ,
To love beyond the easy paths,
Where common love is sacrificed.
"If you love those who love you,
What credit lies within your deed?"
For even those whose hearts are cold
Return the love they too have freed.
A call to rise, to higher ground,
To love beyond the safe confines,
To reach for grace, where mercy's found,
In places where true love defines.
To love the ones who curse your name,
To bless the hands that strike with pain,
To find the beauty in the blame,
And shelter others from the rain.
This love, it mirrors Heaven's light,
Reflects the heart of God above,
In acts of grace, in darkest night,
We show the world transcendent love.
For in this call to love the least,
To offer all with open hands,
We echo Christ, the Prince of Peace,
And walk the path His heart commands.
Transcendent love, a sacred art,
Not bound by what we feel or see,
But flows from deep within the heart,
Where Christ's own love has set us free.
