Balancing Meditation and Action: Avoiding the Trap of Illusion #2042 (Poem)
Balancing Meditation and Action: Avoiding the Trap of Illusion
In stillness, find the calm within,
Where thoughts of peace and light begin.
In silence, let your mind take flight,
Embrace the dark, and find the light.
Stress dissolves, like morning mist,
In mindful breath, the heart is kissed.
Concentration sharpens, clear,
Focus blooms and thoughts draw near.
Emotional waves are gently stilled,
With meditation, the soul is filled.
Sleep comes softly, rest assured,
By silent whispers, dreams are lured.
Awareness deep, a mirror's gaze,
Reflects the self in endless ways.
Spiritual paths in quiet tread,
Lead to realms where souls are fed.
Yet in this peace, a danger lies,
Illusions’ whispers, subtle ties.
Discomfort in the body’s frame,
Emotions raw, like wild flame.
Beware the trap of thought's escape,
A false progress, an inward shape.
Detachment from the world outside,
Where action's call is brushed aside.
Complacency’s seductive lure,
Escapism’s subtle cure.
Without action, insight fades,
In the mind’s unlit arcades.
Reality demands our care,
Meditation's gift, we must share.
With mindful steps in daily strife,
Bring light and peace to waking life.
Apply the calm to tasks at hand,
With active heart, take a stand.
Compassion’s bloom in deeds we weave,
A world of kindness we achieve.
Let meditation guide your way,
But in the world, your hands must play.
For growth and change, action calls,
In every rise, in every fall.
Balance stillness with your deeds,
In harmony, fulfill your needs.
Meditate, but do not stay,
In illusions’ dream, find the day.
