Embracing the Divine Call #2001
Embracing the Divine Call
Who is my neighbor, the question calls,
A tale from ancient paths where mercy falls.
In the shadows of the Good Samaritan's light,
We find our duty, to serve, to fight.
To love our neighbor as ourselves, we learn,
In this divine truth, our hearts do burn.
To serve our neighbor is to serve our God,
In every act of kindness, on every path we trod.
To the lost sheep, Jesus' call extends,
Preach the kingdom, the message He sends.
Among the homeless, the baptized cry,
Seeking God's love under the open sky.
Sixty percent, in faith they stand,
Wandering souls, needing a guiding hand.
From Zechariah's vision, a duty so clear,
To pasture the flock, to hold them near.
In every face, the Divine we see,
In every act of love, in every plea.
The kingdom of heaven, so near it stands,
In the work of our hearts, in the touch of our hands.
At every crossroad, in every need,
We hear the call, the gospel to heed.
To love with grace, to serve with might,
To live out the gospel, in the world's sight.
Who is my neighbor? In truth, we find,
Every soul, every heart, in God's design.
Let us commit to this holy call,
To serve our neighbors, to love them all.
May our hearts align with God's great plan,
To reveal His love, in every land.
In serving others, His kingdom we see,
Bringing heaven nearer, through you and me.
