The Eternal Measure #1985

The Eternal Measure In the garden of existence, where faith trees rise tall, Christianity stands, a beacon to all. Roots deep in ancient soil, the Old Testament’s might, Nourishing the trunk, with wisdom’s pure light. Blossoms of hope, the New Testament's bloom, Petals of promise, dispelling the gloom. Christ’s teachings, ripe fruits, sweet and divine, Offering sustenance, in His holy design. “What shall it profit,” echoes through time, “If one gains the world, yet loses the climb?” The value of soul, eternal and true, Weighs heavier than all the world can construe. His life, a testament of love and grace, Guides us in action, to find our place. A journey of heart, transformation profound, In His steps, true purpose is found. Gaining the world, at the soul’s expense, Is a victory hollow, devoid of sense. In Christ’s sweet fruits, we find our delight, Rooted in truth, blossoming in His light. Let us walk this path, hearts open wide, Minds renewed, with Christ as our guide. In the way of action, we find our peace, An eternal measure, where blessings increase. -Steven G. Lee (June 28, 2024)
