Rejoicing in Assurance: The Foundation of Gospel-Centered Living #1876
Rejoicing in Assurance: The Foundation of Gospel-Centered Living
In the quiet depths of a believer's heart,
Lies assurance, a gift, a holy start.
Not in miracles or feats untold,
But in salvation's story, ancient and bold.
"Rejoice as citizens of heaven," He said,
"Not in the power that makes demons fled."
For names inscribed in heaven's light,
Outshine the darkest, most wondrous night.
Miracles, though grand, can lead astray,
When self takes the throne, and pride holds sway.
But the assurance of salvation pure,
Anchors the soul in love secure.
In the registry of heaven, our names do shine,
A testament to grace, divine.
Not by works or deeds we claim,
But by His mercy, His holy name.
The essence of the gospel clear,
In the assurance we hold dear.
For in this truth, our lives align,
With heaven's purpose, and design.
So let our joy be deeply rooted,
In the promise of salvation, undisputed.
Rejoicing in assurance, we find our way,
In the light of the gospel, day by day.
