The Value of Mercy: Treasuring the Repentant Sinner #1888
The Value of Mercy: Treasuring the Repentant Sinner
(The Radiance of Redemption)
Sin, a shadow cast, a burden we bear,
A darkness that lingers, a weight of despair.
Yet in the midst of this, a light does shine,
For the sinner who repents, seeks love divine.
Sin is not worthy to be cherished or held,
Its grip is relentless, its story oft-told.
But look beyond the darkness, to the heart that yearns,
For mercy, for grace, for a love that burns.
In the eyes of the Savior, each soul is a treasure,
A gem to be polished, a measure beyond measure.
While sin is hateful, a thorn in our side,
The sinner who loves Jesus is welcomed inside.
Christ’s love is boundless, His mercy profound,
In the heart of repentance, His grace is found.
While we were yet sinners, His life He did give,
So that in His mercy, the repentant might live.
Do not hate the person for the sins they commit,
For in the hands of Jesus, their soul will fit.
Treasured and cherished, in His love they stand,
Transformed by His mercy, guided by His hand.
So let us remember, in our journey of faith,
To extend the same mercy, to show the same grace.
For sin is not worthy to be treasured or praised,
But the repentant sinner, in Christ, is always raised.
In the value of mercy, a new life begins,
A story of grace where forgiveness wins.
Treasure the heart that seeks Jesus in love,
For in Heaven’s eyes, they are cherished above.
