The Unyielding Whisper #1971

The Unyielding Whisper In the sacred silence of our spirit’s deep, A voice resounds, where celestial echoes creep. Paul spoke in truth, his voice a beacon set, By conscience guided, in the Spirit’s net. This inner compass, sharp and ever true, Marks the line 'twixt false and righteous hue. From it, no evil can its roots disguise, For from rebellion's soil, dark blooms arise. Our hearts, the battlefield of unseen wars, Reflect the strife that inner peace implores. To stand with conscience is to stand with might, Against the drift of wrong, for what is right. A hollow echo truth becomes, if left Unmoored from conscience, of depth bereft. Thus, let us wear our creed not just in speech, But in the life by conscience meant to teach. Heed now the whisper, soft yet stern and clear, That guides us through each doubt, each worldly fear. In truth’s embrace, our paths steadfastly trod, For in our conscience speaks the voice of God. Let us then rise, with spirits bold and new, Champions of a path both just and true. With every act, let conscience be our guide, In steadfast truth, eternally abide. -Steven G. Lee (June 26, 2024)
