Lessons of the Spirit #1970
Lessons of the Spirit
Our problems are not the death sentence,
But our guidelines through life's dense,
The best teacher, our mistakes so vast,
In the worst times, true lessons cast.
Life's greatest lessons often bloom
In the shadow of our deepest gloom,
From the worst mistakes, we glean
Wisdom's light, pure and serene.
We cannot help every neighbor far,
Yet near ones feel love’s guiding star,
For the law's essence we fulfill
When we love with a heart so still.
“Love your neighbor as yourself,”
In Galatians, this wisdom dwells,
Romans echo, Philippians align,
Corinthians too, in love's design.
The work of the Spirit is progressive,
In John, Luke’s teachings, expressive,
Truth unfolds, layer by layer,
In every heart, an answered prayer.
The Spirit moves, guiding our ways,
Through trials, in darkest days,
With each mistake, we rise anew,
With love and grace, in all we do.
