The Unchanging Gift: Illuminated by Divine Promises #1881

The Unchanging Gift: Illuminated by Divine Promises In the quiet moments of reflection, I see the gifts, perfect and good, descending from above. They come from the Father of heavenly lights, a source unchanging and steadfast, unlike the fleeting shadows that dance and waver. His love remains constant, a beacon in the shifting tides of time. Compassion rises as a radical force, a critique of the world's acceptance of pain. It declares that hurt is not normal, not to be endured in silence, but to be challenged, healed, and transformed. Compassion speaks against the resignation to suffering, calling us to acknowledge the wounds, to offer solace, and to act in love. We do not live by the treasures we grasp, those ephemeral possessions that slip through our fingers. Instead, we are sustained by promises, bright and unwavering, sown in fields of faith. These promises, rooted in the eternal, remind us that our true wealth lies in the assurance of God's unchanging nature. In this divine dance, we find our place. Our hearts, open to the gifts from above, beat with the rhythm of compassion's call. Our lives, rooted in the soil of divine promises, stretch toward the light of hope. We are guided by the Father’s unyielding love, moving through shadows into the brilliance of day. Every gift, a testament to His steadfastness, illuminates our path. It is in this sacred journey that we understand: we are not defined by what we possess but by what has been promised. In the glow of these promises, we see a world restored, where love and compassion reign supreme. And so, we live, not by the fleeting treasures of earth, but by the eternal light of the Father's love, unchanging and ever-bright. In this light, we find our true north, our hearts aligned with His, our lives a reflection of His unwavering grace. Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 21, 2024)
