The Struggle for Truth #1729
The Struggle for Truth
In the cloak of night, deceit reigns,
Pushing truth back, leaving justice in pain.
Righteousness stands, wide and forlorn,
While honesty hides, in shadows born.
Truth, stumbling, roams open streets,
Exposed and vulnerable, in defeat it meets.
No pockets to hide, softly it wails,
In the face of defeat, honesty fails.
Friend deceives friend; tongues learn to lie,
In a world of falsehoods, weary souls sigh.
Deception wears the mask of life,
Trust torn, integrity rife.
A prophet’s words, a king’s might,
Allies in chaos, a troubling sight.
Media and ads, in tangled embrace,
Leave truth a lost and forlorn face.
People struggle, reality unseen,
Truth discarded, silenced, and lean.
In the trash it languishes, hushed and crushed,
In the noise of deception, clarity rushed.
Yet in deep silence, a promise remains,
“You will know the truth, and freedom gains.”
In media’s web, trust is torn,
Integrity suffers, ethics worn.
Biblical teachings, truth in life,
In its absence, stagnation and strife.
Seek the beacon, the guiding light,
Uphold truth, for honesty is right.
In every heart, let truth reside,
In every action, let it guide.
For in the struggle, in the strife,
Truth is the way, the light, the life.
