The Stillness of Faith #1704 (Poem)
The Stillness of Faith
鑑於止水:
Man should not use flowing water as a mirror,
but use the still water as a mirror.

The Calm Within the Storm
In still waters, truth is found,
Reflections pure, without a sound.
Flowing streams, in constant motion,
Cannot reveal the heart's devotion.
JESUS CALMS A STORM:
“Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”
In His voice, the winds do wane,
He rebukes the sea, the storm does cease,
A great calm follows, bringing peace.
Faith in Stillness
What manner of man commands the waves,
That winds obey, and tempest caves?
In quietude, His power displayed,
In faith, our fears and doubts allayed.
Mirrors of the Soul
Seek not the mirror in waters flowing,
For truth in turbulence is unknowing.
But in the stillness, clear and bright,
We see His love, His strength, His light.
The Peace He Brings
Marveled men, with hearts anew,
“What sort of man can calm the blue?”
In Jesus' calm, our souls are free,
In still waters, His truth we see.
