The Stillness of Faith #1703
The Stillness of Faith
鑑於止水:
Man should not use flowing water as a mirror, but use the still water as a mirror.

The Calm Within the Storm
In still waters, truth is found, reflections pure, without a sound. Flowing streams, in constant motion, cannot reveal the heart's devotion. "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" In His voice, the winds wane, He rebukes the sea, and the storm ceases. A great calm follows, bringing peace.
What manner of man commands the waves, that winds obey, and tempest caves? In quietude, His power displayed, in faith, our fears and doubts allayed. Seek not the mirror in waters flowing, for truth in turbulence is unknowing. But in the stillness, clear and bright, we see His love, His strength, His light.
Marveled men, with hearts anew, "What sort of man can calm the blue?" In Jesus' calm, our souls are free. In still waters, His truth we see.
