The Shepherd's Embrace #1909
The Shepherd's Embrace
In the quiet of the morning,
A voice calls clear and true,
"I am the door of the sheep,"
Inviting me and you.
The Good Shepherd stands before us,
His love a guiding light,
He lays down His life for His flock,
In darkness, brings us sight.
Unlike the hireling fleeting,
When danger's shadow nears,
He holds us close, protects our hearts,
And wipes away our tears.
The Father knows Him deeply,
And so He knows us too,
A bond of love unbreakable,
His mercy ever new.
"Come, be one flock," He beckons,
"One shepherd you shall see,"
In unity and grace we stand,
From discord, we are free.
Worldly gains seem meaningless,
Compared to knowing Him,
For Christ, we count all else as loss,
To gain His light within.
In this tapestry of faith,
His sacrifice the thread,
Binding us in love so pure,
In Him, we're safely led.
The door is ever open,
The Shepherd vigilant,
His call to us is constant,
In His fold, we find our rest.
So heed the Shepherd's calling,
Come, gather, one and all,
In His voice, our true home lies,
In His embrace, we fall.
