The Divine Paradox of the Cross #1918
The Divine Paradox of the Cross
(The Wisdom of the Cross: Embracing Divine Paradox)
In a world that seeks the wise,
Where intellect and reason rise,
Stands a symbol, stark and bold,
A tale of wisdom often untold.
The cross, a paradox profound,
In shame and death, true life is found.
To human eyes, it seems so strange,
Yet through it, God did all arrange.
What folly, they declare with scorn,
A King of kings in crown of thorn.
Yet in this act, divine and pure,
Lies wisdom that will long endure.
To be a fool in God's own sight,
Is to embrace the holy light,
To shed the pride of worldly lore,
And find in Christ forevermore.
The wise may scoff, the strong deride,
But in this foolishness, we hide,
The power of God's saving grace,
Transforming hearts in every place.
In weakness, strength is truly shown,
Through humble faith, His love is known.
So let us be, by world defied,
As fools for Christ, in Him abide.
For in the cross, we find our gain,
In loss and shame, eternal reign.
The wisdom of the cross we claim,
In Jesus' name, above all name.
Embracing paradox so grand,
We walk with God, hand in hand,
Forsaking what the world deems wise,
For heaven's truth, beyond disguise.
So stand in faith, let voices raise,
To God's great wisdom, sing His praise.
In divine folly, life we find,
With hearts renewed and souls aligned.
