The Call of Mercy #1630
The Call of Mercy
Those who are well need not the healer's touch,
But those who are sick, who suffer much.
Go and learn the meaning true,
"I desire mercy, not sacrifice" from you.
Not for the righteous did I come,
But for sinners lost and glum.
To call them forth from shadows deep,
Where sins and sorrows often seep.
In the heart where mercy reigns,
Love overcomes, and hate wanes.
For in compassion, light is found,
Healing hearts where sin has bound.
A physician to the broken soul,
To make the shattered whole.
Not in rituals, cold and bare,
But in the love and tender care.
Go and learn what mercy means,
In the world of broken dreams.
For I seek not the perfect heart,
But the wounded, torn apart.
From the depths of sin and shame,
To rise anew in love's great name.
Not by sacrifice, but mercy's grace,
We find our true and rightful place.
For I have come, not to call the right,
But the lost into the light.
In mercy’s arms, they find their rest,
In love divine, they are blessed.
