Embracing Divine Folly #1913
Embracing Divine Folly
In the shadow of the cross, where wisdom meets,
A paradox unfolds, divine and true,
What seems like folly to the world’s elites,
Is power, life, and wisdom fresh and new.
The wise, with knowledge vast, will find their end,
Philosophers, their queries cast away,
For God, in boundless wisdom, did intend
To turn the tables, night transformed to day.
Where are the sages, those who seek the light?
In questing truth, they’ve wandered from the mark,
They seek for signs, for proofs within their sight,
Yet fail to see the truth within the dark.
Embrace this folly, let your pride take flight,
The Jews seek signs, the Greeks their wisdom crave,
But we proclaim the crucified, the light,
A stumbling block, yet power strong to save.
To be a fool for God, to let pride fall,
Is to embrace a wisdom pure and deep,
In His great weakness, strength and wisdom call,
A treasure found, a secret we will keep.
The world may mock, may label us as fools,
But in this foolishness, we find our way,
For God’s own foolishness all wisdom rules,
And in His weakness, strength will have its say.
So let us boldly bear the cross’s sign,
Embracing folly, wisdom’s truest friend,
For in this paradox, our hearts align
With divine love, a journey without end.
