Echoes of the Past #1633

Echoes of the Past In the tapestry of time, threads of conquest weave, Disparate peoples collided, shaping what we believe. Through history’s tumultuous dance, the echoes resound, Conquest, epidemics, genocide—scars profoundly found. Centuries have passed, yet the reverberations remain, In the world's most troubled corners, still persists the pain. The cries of the oppressed, the voices of the lost, Their suffering remembered, a heavy, lingering cost. God’s memory is steadfast, His justice ever true, He hears the cries of anguish, the wronged ones He'll pursue. For in the darkest shadows, His light will ever shine, He lifts the brokenhearted, in His love divine. Though collisions mar our history, and shadows cast their pall, There’s hope in the remembering, for justice reaches all. The past is not forgotten, each tear, each cry, each name, God’s hand holds the suffering, in His eternal flame. -Steven G. Lee
