Upon the Fear of the Lord #1960
Upon the Fear of the Lord
In the hallowed whispers of the dawn,
Where shadows merge with the light,
Fear God, you wandering souls,
And cast aside the terrors of the night.
For in His mighty reverence lies a fortress strong,
Where nothing else can foster fear;
Obedience, the visible cloak we wear,
Wrought from devotion, crystal clear.
"The Lord has not woven us with threads of dread,
But with power, love, and tempered will,"
Whispers the wind through ancient texts,
Where courage blooms and fears distill.
Submit, oh heart, to His sovereign hand,
Take action where faith and daydreams blend,
Trust in the grace that frames the stars,
And in your trials, find strength to ascend.
For wisdom’s gate begins with awe,
A reverence deep, where knowledge seeds;
Fools may scorn this sacred ground,
Yet in this fear, true life proceeds.
In every step, in every breath,
Let fear of the Lord guide thee;
For in this awe, not dread, we find
The path to our truest liberty.
