True Faith vs. The Search for Signs #1667
True Faith vs. The Search for Signs
In days of old, they sought the skies,
For miracles to see with eyes,
A generation lost in doubt,
Demanding signs to spell things out.
Yet Jesus spoke with piercing tone,
“An evil heart seeks proof alone,
When faith should rise without the sight,
Trusting in God's eternal light.”
In modern times, the quest remains,
For signs to soothe our doubts and pains,
We search for miracles, divine,
To validate the sacred line.
In moments dark, we crave a guide,
A hint of hope, a light inside,
But true belief, it stands apart,
Not bound by signs, but in the heart.
Faith that thrives without the show,
In silent trust, begins to grow,
For in His word, our strength we find,
A deeper faith, both pure and kind.
So let us seek with hearts sincere,
A faith that sees when none appear,
For in the quiet, steady way,
God’s love and grace will light our day.
No need for signs to know He’s near,
His presence felt, our hearts sincere,
In every breath, His voice we’ll hear,
Guiding us without a fear.
True faith, unshaken, firm and bright,
Trusting in His boundless might,
For in His word, we find our rest,
And know His plans for us are best.
