The Sign and the Light: A Proclamation #1708

The Sign and the Light: A Proclamation In a time of darkness, a generation stands, seeking signs from the Holy Lands. Yet none shall be given, solemnly declared, but the sign of Jonah, a mystery. Three days and nights in the belly's hold, a prophet's tale, ancient and bold. So shall the Son of Man descend, to rise again, our souls to mend. No sign for the faithless, their hearts in strife, but for the repentant, the gift of life. Jonah's journey, a shadowed frame, reflects the Savior, His purpose the same. Concerning light, so pure and bright, a lamp is lit, a beacon of sight. Not under a bushel, hidden from view, but on a stand, for all to pursue. It casts its glow in every room, dispelling shadows, erasing gloom. So must we be, with hearts alight, shining truth in the darkest night. For Christ our Lord, the Light divine, illuminates pathways in mercy's line. With Jonah's sign and the lamp so bright, we walk in faith, guided by His light. These words serve as a reminder to seek the light and understand the signs given to us, inspiring and guiding us through our daily lives. -Steven G. Lee (June 8, 2024)
