The Quiet Quest: Embracing Divine Rest #1756

The Quiet Quest: Embracing Divine Rest Gain is where we find our rest, deep and subtle, life's quiet quest. In this search, we uncover our way, to stay, to be, to live each day. Jesus invites us, saying, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Caring for spiritual matters becomes the good line of life, where value and adherence align our actions. Direction is discovered, and with it, the mind finds peace, anxiety fades, and worries cease, as we are reminded, "Do not be anxious about anything...and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). A decided heart and a tranquil mind, knowing what to seek and what to find. "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you" (Isaiah 26:3). In the practice of life, truth and grace reveal themselves. Gain is found in that quiet place, where the essence of being is embraced. "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10), and let the peace of Christ dwell within you, for He said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you" (John 14:27). "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him" (Psalm 62:1). -Steven G. Lee (June 12, 2024)
