The Power of the Cross What does the cross for you? A symbol, stark and true, Nothing shows God's love more bright, Than the cross, our guiding light. It wasn't nails that held Him there, But love so deep, beyond compare, God's love for us, pure and vast, A sacrifice meant to forever last. Upon that cross, a perfect gift, With blood shed, our spirits lift, For without the blood's sacred flow, No forgiveness would we know. Don't waste this precious blood, A flood of grace, a holy flood, The Word of the Cross, to some, a jest, But to the saved, it is the best.
