The Perils of Corruption and Injustice in Modern Society #1666
The Perils of Corruption and Injustice in Modern Society
In shadows deep, where wolves in power tread,
They feast on lives, their greed a crimson red.
For gold, they tear the flesh of hope apart,
And leave the poor with broken dreams and hearts.
The prophets speak with tongues of guile and lies,
False visions cast beneath the darkened skies.
They claim the voice of God in every breath,
Yet speak no truth, just paving paths to death.
The common folk, with hardened hearts, oppress,
The poor are crushed beneath their cruel duress.
The needy robbed, the foreigner denied,
Injustice reigns where empathy has died.
In modern times, these ancient woes persist,
Corruption's grip, too strong to just resist.
The leaders, prophets, and the common man,
All play their parts in this deceitful plan.
Yet hope remains in hearts that dare to fight,
Against the dark, to bring forth truth and light.
For justice, mercy, love to take their place,
In every heart, in every time and space.
