The Path of Humble Service: A Christ-Centered Call #1857
Servant Leadership in the 21st Century: A Christ-Centered Approach
In a world where titles shine so bright,
Where leaders bask in power's light,
We seek a path both true and right,
To serve, not rule, in humble sight.
No lofty titles should we claim,
For Christ alone should bear the name,
As Teacher, Leader, all the same,
His love and service our true aim.
We are but brethren, none above,
United by His boundless love,
Our calling is to serve, not shove,
To lift, not push, as gentle dove.
The greatest one among us all,
Is he who answers servant's call,
Who lifts the weary, stands the small,
In service, we find purpose tall.
Reject the lure of worldly gain,
Where power's grasp can only strain,
Embrace the cross, bear others' pain,
In Christ, our loss is heaven's gain.
Rebuild our hearts, our minds, our ways,
To live as servants all our days,
In Christ's own footsteps we shall blaze,
A light that in this darkness stays.
Oh, let us turn from prideful thrones,
To hearts where Christ's true love is sown,
Where leaders serve, and not bemoan,
The humble path to heaven's throne.
For in His Kingdom, status fades,
And only love and grace pervades,
Where servant hearts build holy glades,
And Christ, our Leader, never fades.
In every act, in every word,
Let Christ's own servant heart be heard,
In service, may our souls be stirred,
To lead by love, as Christ inferred.
So let us strive with all our might,
To serve in darkness and in light,
For in His grace, we find our sight,
Servant leaders, shining bright.
