The Intersection of Empire and Gospel #1603
The Intersection of Empire and Gospel
At the crossroads where night meets day,
Where light and shadow softly play,
We find a place where truths converge,
And hidden meanings start to merge.
Empires rise with might and pride,
Their worldly powers amplified,
Yet in their shadows lies a tale,
Of fleeting glories bound to fail.
The gospel shines a different light,
A beacon in the darkest night,
Its truths may seem like fiction’s song,
Yet in its heart, we all belong.
From empire’s view, the gospel’s naught,
A tale with neither place nor plot,
But through the lens of sacred grace,
The empire’s power finds its place.
For in the shadow of the cross,
Empires crumble, count the cost,
The gospel’s truth, a burning flame,
Transcends all power, wealth, and fame.
Without the cross, we’re blind to see,
The deeper truth, our destiny,
For light and shadow both reveal,
The heart of what is truly real.
At the crossroads, we must decide,
To see the world with open eyes,
Embrace the gospel’s gentle call,
And let the shadows fade and fall.
For in this meeting of the two,
We find a perspective, fresh and true,
A world where light and shadow blend,
And empires and gospels both transcend.
