Repentance or Destruction #1686

Repentance or Destruction Do you think these were worse sinners, Than all others who suffered thus? Hear the words of Jesus, our Redeemer, A message profound for each of us. Our spiritual identity is not in deeds, Nor in what others perceive or say, Not in possessions or fleeting needs, But in God's love, forever to stay. Beloved daughters, beloved sons, In the eyes of the Holy One, We are cherished, every single one, In the grace of the Father and the Son. Repentance calls, a guiding light, Turning hearts to paths of right, Or destruction looms, a shadowy plight, Choose the way that leads to life. The fig tree waits, its fate unknown, Will it bear fruit or stand alone? In repentance, let seeds be sown, For in God's love, we are His own. Jesus speaks with wisdom clear, Repentance leads to hope, not fear, In every heart, let it appear, For God's kingdom, always near. We are not what we do, nor what we own, But in God's love, forever known, Beloved daughters, beloved sons, In His embrace, we are home. -Steven G. Lee (June 12, 2024)
