Real Defilement From the heart, the mouth speaks clear, Words that can defile, instill fear. Evil thoughts, they find their way, In the things we do and say. Not by hands unwashed we’re stained, But by hearts where sin has reigned. Thieves and greedy, drunk and vile, Swindlers with deceitful guile. These will not inherit light, Kingdom's gates are closed up tight. Real defilement comes from sin, Rooted deep, where thoughts begin. Seek a heart that's pure and true, Speak with love in all you do.
