From Galilee to Capitalism: The Journey of Faith #1893
From Galilee to Capitalism: The Journey of Faith
In the first century, by Galilee's serene shore,
A community of believers, hearts humble and pure,
Gathered in simplicity, faith's gentle bloom,
In the shadow of the lake, where their spirits found room.
Then Christianity moved to Greece, philosophy’s land,
Where thinkers and scholars took faith in their hand,
From simple belief, it grew profound and wise,
In the realm of ideas, where questions arise.
Next, it journeyed to Rome, mighty and grand,
Becoming an institution, strong as the land,
Structures and rituals, doctrines and creed,
Faith in marble halls, to meet every need.
Across the seas to Europe, it transformed once more,
Becoming a culture, rich with folklore,
Cathedrals and traditions, art intertwined,
In the essence of life, faith was enshrined.
Finally, to America, where dreams are sold,
Christianity became a business, seeking gold,
In the marketplace of souls, capitalism’s dance,
Faith in the balance, lost in the chance.
From Galilee’s shores to the world’s grand stage,
Faith has wandered through each historical age,
Yet in every heart where true belief starts,
Christianity lives in the purity of hearts.
