Faith's Stripping Away Your faith in Jesus Christ, A stripping away of all that is not you, A shedding of layers, revealing the core, Where true self and divine purpose brew. One decision stands, a pivot of change, A step from fear, into hope’s embrace. Reflect your dreams in each choice made, For life transforms in faith’s grace. Make decisions, take bold action, Believe in God’s grace on the cross, For in His love, there is no lack, Only the gain, the freedom from loss. “I can do nothing on my own,” Jesus speaks, his voice our guide, “As I hear, I judge with just intent, Seeking not my will, but the one who sent.” “Seek first the kingdom,” His words declare, “And all else will come, without despair.” Submit to God, resist the devil’s snare, And he will flee, defeated, laid bare. In faith, we strip away the old, To reveal the new, the true, the bold. Trust in His grace, His will, His plan, For in His love, we find who we truly are, again. -Steven G. Lee (June 21, 2024)
