Embracing Selfless Service: The Path to True Fulfillment #1894

Embracing Selfless Service: The Path to True Fulfillment In a world that teaches self to keep, Where dreams of grandeur tempt our sleep, Jesus speaks a truth so deep, A call to lose, a call to leap. Cling not to life, to fleeting fame, But give in love, in Jesus’ name, For in this loss, we find the flame, Of true fulfillment, not the same. Greatness lies not in being served, But in the heart that’s deeply stirred, To lift the low, to heal the hurt, To walk where love and grace converge. Success redefined, not wealth nor might, But in the ransom, purest light, He gave His life to end our night, A beacon for the broken's fight. Faith requires a heart so bold, To risk, to step, to leave the fold, To find in service, life’s true gold, In giving all, the kingdom’s hold. Daily choices, small yet grand, To lend a heart, to hold a hand, In every act, a sacred stand, A life of love, the gospel’s brand. In every role, in every face, To see the image of His grace, To serve, to love, to take our place, In His grand story, our embrace. So let us walk this path anew, In selfless service, deep and true, In giving all, our lives imbue, With love that shines, in all we do. -Steven G. Lee (June 24, 2024)
