A House Without Foundation #1845
A House Without Foundation
In this land, the air is thick with deceit,
The people walk unfaithful, in their power they compete.
Wickedness reigns where integrity should stand,
They twist the truth with a cunning hand.
The Lord speaks in a voice both stern and clear,
“The prophets and priests, they do not hold Me dear.
Godless, they tread where holy should reside,
I’ve caught them in evil, in the temple they hide.”
Their hearts, far from heaven, their eyes seek only gain,
They betray their calling, inflict spiritual pain.
False shepherds lead the flock astray,
In darkness, they wander, far from the righteous way.
But hear the warning from ages past,
A voice of truth, a wisdom that will last.
“Anyone who hears My words and turns away,
Is like a man who builds in disarray.
Without a foundation, his house stands weak,
When floods arise, destruction they seek.
The crash resounds, a terrible plight,
For those who forsake the path of light.”
So let this be a call to every soul,
To anchor in truth, to make faith whole.
Build on the Rock, steadfast and true,
In the storms of life, He will see you through.
Turn from the godless, from deceit and lie,
Embrace repentance, let your spirit fly.
For in the Lord, your foundation laid,
Is a house unshaken, in His grace stayed.
