Whispers of Nature, Echoes of Man #96
Whispers of Nature, Echoes of Man
In the quiet rustle of the forest deep,
Where small creatures scurry, bound by nature's keep,
Instinct guides their course, so pure, so right,
In sync with moon's soft glow and morning light.
Yet amidst this tranquil, earthly choir,
Stands humankind, with different fire.
Gifted with knowledge of right and wrong,
Yet often playing a discordant song.
We cast long shadows, dimming celestial gleams,
Ravage the mountains, pollute the streams.
In our quest for dominion, in our human guise,
We disrupt the seasons, under changing skies.
Transformed we stand, not just the land,
Self at the center of our command.
Yielding to power, to force we cling,
In the clamor of conquest, our hearts sing.
A thief falls, and we justify,
The act of killing, without a sigh.
Would remorse then touch our soul,
If the world were ours, an unbridled goal?
History speaks, though its voice is faint,
Of our deeds, not all a saint's paint.
Straying from the path heaven laid,
We lose touch with the love that should never fade.
The teachings of Christ, a forgotten song,
In our detour, we've wandered long.
To find our way back, to start anew,
Seems a path hidden, out of view.
Yet in this journey, hope must dwell,
For in our hearts, a guiding bell.
To reconnect with nature's simple grace,
And find again, our rightful place.
