Transformative Grace: A Journey from the Shadows #72
Transformative Grace: A Journey from the Shadows
In the shadow of the cross so tall,
Lies truth profound, our being's call.
Like flies to waste, our failings cling,
Defining us, a burdensome thing.
Yet, in the Gospel's light, we see,
Our worth's not in flaws that be.
Ezekiel spoke, in ancient text,
Of bread with dung, a metaphor complex.
Cow dung, valued in many a land,
For fuel and growth, it takes a stand.
Unlike human waste, shunned, unclean,
This switch in scripture, what does it mean?
God's grace, it transforms, makes anew,
The lowly, unclean, in life's view.
Our words, our deeds, in grace, they soar,
Aligned with the Gospel's core.
As Ezekiel, with symbols deep,
Called to use the lowly heap.
So we transform our basest part,
In our spiritual journey's cart.
What we discard, a testament clear,
To growth and change, to what we hold dear.
What remains is our true essence,
In Christ, cherished, a divine presence.
