Threads of Divine Kinship #158

Threads of Divine Kinship In whispers soft, duty's silent song, Where love for the Creator flows strong, Through being's fabric, delicately spun, Commandments light, from first to one, Guiding us to love with all, undone. Yet, in the fifth, a bridge so profound, Where divine and earthly realms are bound, This command, if lost, the fragile thread, On which moral structures fear to tread, Sacred pillars, without it, dread to spread. To honor parents, more than mere command, Essence of harmony, in divine land, Promising life, prosperity, hand in hand, Filial piety, divine blessings grand. But forsaken, it shakes the commandment's stand. Echoes through laws, a domino's fall, Disregard breeding chaos, confusion's call, Parental respect, the cornerstone tall, Neglect invites turmoil, society's pall. Yet scriptures paint kinship, wide and clear, Beyond blood, a divine family dear, In Gospels' words, a new vision appear, "Who are my kin?" Jesus asked, near, Those doing God's will, brother, sister, peer. This redefined kinship, a spiritual tie, Not of lineage, but shared purpose, high, A call to see Spirit as the bond, nigh, In relationships, divine love to apply. To honor, to love, through God's wide gaze, Embracing the family He, in wisdom, lays, Urging us to connect in respectful ways, Rooted in compassion, love always stays. In fulfilling these duties, a future bright, Where peace and harmony take flight, Guided by wisdom's eternal light, A vision of humanity, so right. Inspired by principles, deep and divine, A future where every bond is a sign, Of honor, respect, a lineage fine, The divine and human family, intertwine. -Written by Steven G. Lee (January 31, 2024)
