Harmony in Faith: The Spiritual Journey of Church Mergers #90
Harmony in Faith: The Spiritual Journey of Church Mergers
In this era's maze, where churches merge and sway,
Like simple sums, they think, "One plus one, allay."
Yet within these walls, complexities do breed,
Not mere numbers, but souls with varying creed.
Rooted deep in faiths distinct, or bonds of kin,
Their union, a dance of spirits, must begin.
Could one carry the gospel, pure at its heart,
Unity then might have a hopeful start.
For when churches merge, not for truth, but gain,
Straying from Christ's gospel, they court disdain.
Expansion, influence, a siren's call,
Forgetting the essence, the core of it all.
Yet, a church in true gospel's power soaked,
Seeks not dominion, nor to be cloaked
In worldly strength, but humbly bows,
To God's will, in every vow.
A church that practices, with grace, Christ's word,
Spreads not by force, but by love, undeterred.
In actions, mercy, and teachings embraced,
The true gospel's path, faithfully traced.
So let churches merge, not in numbers alone,
But in spirit, in truth, where Christ's seed is sown.
For in unity, humility, and love's pure light,
Lies the path to a merger, spiritually right.
