Reflections on the Journey Within: Unmasking Reality In the vessel of flesh, the mind often wanders, Far from the bone and sinew that encase it. This journey, a veering from the essence, Marks a rift between the soul and its facade. To tether thought to form, to stay rooted in truth, Demands the rigor of self's command. Else, we drift – our words and deeds A dissonant dance, cloaked in duplicity. Hypocrisy, the shadow of Matthew's verse, Looms where outward shine masks inner void. Knowledge, untempered by inward gaze, Breeds this guise. We become but adorned tombs, Resplendent yet bereft, a hollow masquerade. Yet, in the mirror of Christ’s conscience, Lies the call for awareness, for veracity. To choose this path is to embrace reflection, Shunning the shallow.
