Spiritual Foundations: The Gospel's Guiding Light #89

"Spiritual Foundations: The Gospel's Guiding Light" In the realm where spirit and truth entwine, A gospel held in reverence, a divine design. It whispers to the heart, a guiding light, Where laws, mere words, gain foresight and might. Beneath this sacred canopy, simplicity reigns, Laws, though modest, with precision they're sustained. Guided by principles, pure and profound, In the gospel's embrace, true justice is found. Yet, stray from this path, where gospel's light dims, Even laws crafted with care, their vigor thins. Neglected truths, like stars veiled by night, Lose their way, their purpose, their righteous sight. The teachings of Christ, a beacon so bright, Urging hearts to embrace, to hold tight. Without this fervor, this active embrace, Church members wander, lose their grace. The essence, the core, of the gospel's might, Lies not in numbers, but in inner light. A church, though grand, may stand in vain, If its foundation weakens, unanchored by mercy's grace. Turmoil within, a sign, a silent plea, Not of gospel flawed, but of hearts not free. A neglected truth, a forgotten song, A path unwalked, a right unturned wrong. So, let the gospel's truth in hearts be sown, For in its rich soil, true faith is grown. In adherence, respect, a spiritual call, Lies the greatest truth, the most sacred of all. -Written by Steven G. Lee (January 19, 2024)
