Essence of Mercy: A Reflection by Pastor Steven G. Lee #41
Essence of Mercy: A Reflection by Pastor Steven G. Lee
In the heart of humanity, mercy resides,
A quality profound, in our essence it hides.
We're woven with threads of loving-kindness, you see,
It's in acts of tender care, our true selves come to be.
To love God, to honor those from whom we came,
To care for our neighbors, in mercy's sweet name.
The Commandments were given, a guide from above,
A reminder that mercy is the purest form of love.
"Blessed are the merciful," so Jesus once said,
In the book of Matthew, his wisdom is spread.
"And be merciful, as your Father's mercy shines,"
Echoes through Luke's gospel, in his divine lines.
Mercy, a tapestry of compassion and grace,
Sympathy, kindness, in its warm embrace.
Forgiveness and love, its threads intertwine,
In the heart of humanity, mercy does shine.
Pastor Steven G. Lee, in reflection divine.
