A whisper soft yet insistent, in pursuit's embrace, Urges contemplation of existence, beyond tangible's trace. Fleeting glory of wealth, shadows dancing with illusion's guise, Yet, against eternity's weight, what truly lies? Christ's voice, through time, a clarion call resounds, Challenging our core, where worldly gain confounds. The divine paradox, faith's cornerstone, reveals, Salvation in surrender, as strife to idols kneels. The cross, sacrifice's symbol, breaking chains of idol's hold, Christ's suffering, our liberation, to a love untold. First commandment's echo, aligning love with the Divine, A beacon illuminating paths, from false idols we resign. Life's journey, through trials, our love for others refines, Suffering's path leading us, to God's will that aligns. Gaze fixed on the divine, true existence's embrace, Forsaking idols, tangible and not, for God's unfading grace.
