Light and Truth: The Dance of Humor and Solemnity #63
Light and Truth: The Dance of Humor and Solemnity
In a world where laughter often reigns,
Comedy's light on hypocrisy stains,
It dances on truths with jest and sneers,
Masking the solemn with mirthful jeers.
Yet, when solemn words turn to play,
Blasphemy whispers in the light of day.
A sermon's grace, so pure and devout,
Twisted to humor, casts faith in doubt.
For mocking the sacred is no light feat,
It's a treacherous path, deceptively sweet.
In laughter's shadow, truth often sleeps,
While hypocrisy in cloaked silence creeps.
But there lies a path, steady and bright,
In the teachings of Jesus, a guiding light.
Not in jest, but in earnest we find,
A way to transcend, to leave far behind.
The hypocrisy that in shadows dwells,
In the light of His words, its power dispels.
So, seek not to laugh at what's earnest and true,
But to live by the teachings that guide us anew.
In this contrast, humor and solemnity meet,
One in light jest, the other in truth's seat.
Yet, together they guide us, in their unique play,
Through the journey of life, in night and in day.
