Living Gospel: A Dance of Deeds #84

Living Gospel: A Dance of Deeds In the dance of our daily deeds, You wove the Gospel's thread, Not just in whispered creeds But in the life you led. Words, mere echoes of the divine, Yet in your steps, they found their form, A testament, quietly sublime, In the mundane, a living storm. As you walked with gentle grace, Amongst our neighbors, under the sky's vast dome, Your actions spoke in silent praise, A language felt, deeply known. In your hands, the Gospel breathed, Alive in every selfless act, A truth by living, bequeathed, Invisible, yet deeply intact. A newborn's innocence, the Gospel's guise, Soft and unassertive, yet profound, In your deeds, it did arise, A quiet force, without a sound. An old man, it never became, In your heart, it danced, forever young, A living flame, beyond mere name, In actions spoken, unsung. Our neighbors saw, in your daily art, The Gospel's power, not just in word, In your walk, they found its heart, A sermon seen, and deeply heard. So in this dance of life we tread, May we too, embody this sacred lore, In actions small, our spirits fed, The Gospel alive, forevermore. -Written by Steven G. Lee (January 19, 2024)
