The Core of Filial Grace #153
The Core of Filial Grace
In the heart of duty, a whisper divine,
Where love for the Creator intertwines.
First to fourth, commandments of light,
To love our God with all our might.
Yet, in the fifth, a bridge is formed,
Between Heaven's will and earth adorned.
When filial bonds start to fray,
The sacred pillars sway and sway.
For in the honoring of mother and father,
Lies the essence, the core, no bother.
To extend one's days upon this land,
By God's own gracious, giving hand.
But when this commandment faces neglect,
The tenfold laws, in turn, reflect.
A crumbling foundation, relationships torn,
In unfilial acts, confusion is born.
For the foundation of all human ties,
Begins where parental honor lies.
Disregard this, and chaos ensues,
A path of trouble, a road of rues.
Yet, cross-referenced in texts of faith,
A broader family the scriptures saith.
Matthew, Luke, and Mark convey,
True kinship in God's eyes, displayed.
To honor, to love, in God's wide view,
Is to embrace His family, steadfast and true.
Thus, in filial duty, let us find,
The path to peace, for all mankind.
