Whispers of Dawn: Embracing the Cross #133

Whispers of Dawn: Embracing the Cross In dawn's quiet whispers, where first light commands, Shadows fold beneath the beckon of day's hands. "Hear," whispers a voice, both ancient and clear, "Follow Me," calls Christ, where faith draws near. At humanity and divinity's crossroads He stands, Words bridging seas, in His divine commands. "Let the dead their own dead bury," He decreed, On paths less walked, where our spirits are freed. A journey, not of ease, but of joy profound, In self-sacrifice's thorns, and devotion's ground. Christ, the mirror of the Divine, does reflect, A path of earnest hearts, His love to project. Embrace, then, the rugged cross's embrace, Find joy's spring, and resilience's trace. A pilgrimage, sacred, through our missteps shown, Aligning with the Divine, step by weary stone. Jesus, our guide, in His Spirit, we are dressed, Learning to conquer selves, in victory blessed. A dance of self-mastery, strength and grace, Compassion's hand, kindness in our trace. The gospel lived, not just encountered on the way, Transforming heart and deed, in His light to stay. To remain unchanged, a path of the blind, Eyes closed, hearts sealed, the truth left behind. Remember the dawn's promise, on wings it is sent, "Even youths grow tired," but our spirits aren't spent. With the Lord entwined, in infinite align, Strength reborn, on eagles' wings we'll shine. Paths tread without falter, each day embraced, In divine strength, not merely traced. Bearing His cross, in joy, not in loss, Vessels of love, His gospel our cause. With faith unshaken, and joy that endures, Echoing His call, in a world that allures. This is the path, in Spirit we're cast, Carrying the cross, in His love vast. -Written by Steven G. Lee
