Digital Threads in Faith's Tapestry #115

Digital Threads in Faith's Tapestry In the tapestry woven, digital and vast, Where end times' shadow with bright threads contrast, Reveals itself a truth, both clear and visible: Human connections, delicate, indivisible. In realms where screens light up with distant cries, At a crossroads of error, vulnerability lies, Demanding we embrace, with richer care, Our imperfections, laid bare. Jesus' teachings, through modern maze, In Luke's words, guide our ways. He urged His followers to arm, prepare, With coins and swords, possessions rare. Yet, in Mark and Matthew, a different call, Only faith to carry, no burdens at all. This contrast paints, on spiritual stage, A canvas where faith outweighs worldly wage. This digital era, with connections spun, Brings new challenges, one by one. Touch filtered through pixels, sound through waves, Temptations lurk in the paths it paves. The risk is real, to lose the depth, Of communion, in digital breadth. Human warmth in interaction, Vital to evangelism's soul, its action. Recall the tale of Jesus, Peter's guide, In Luke's narrative, their bond tried. Peter's denial, foretold, revealed, Our fragility, in digital fields. This story, through time's corridor, Reminds us of guidance, needed more. In technology's web, complex, immense, Divine direction makes the best sense. Digital evangelism, a dance so fine, Balancing marvels with human line. Technology offers, wide and far, But impersonality can leave a scar. Heart-to-heart, our mission's core, Must not be lost, but cherished more. Thus, in this landscape, digital and new, Evangelists recall what is true. Not in technology's might we trust, But in God's wisdom, ever just. Walking in humility, accepting our fall, Seeking divine compass, above all. With grace, these digital tools we wield, So human connection remains our field. -Written by Steven G. Lee (January 26, 2024)
