Eternal Anchors: A Prose Poem on Steadfastness in a Shifting World #1130

Eternal Anchors: A Prose Poem on Steadfastness in a Shifting World In the stillness of eternity, where time weaves but does not wear, there echoes a truth: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews sings of an unchanging Christ in a world of relentless transformation, reminding us that change cannot command itself, only be commanded by the Immutable—God, Love, the Eternal. Across the expanse of existence, why do things persist, why beings stir? It is because beneath the manifold of motion lies a single, unyielding principle. We—all of us—dance a dance of unity, our lives and bodies mere verses in a grander poem of interconnectedness, an ode to mutual dependence crafted by divine hands. Consider the scriptures—Corinthians, Romans, Ephesians—painting humanity as Christ's body: diverse in function, united in purpose. So must our governance mirror this unity, not splintered or swayed, but steadfast as the bedrock upon which it stands. Thus, let us hold fast to that which does not falter amid the flux, the steadfast anchor in our swirling seas. Here lies the secret to ruling amidst the undulating tides of time: true control rests not on the capricious whims of change but on the enduring shoulders of the unchangeable. This is our call—to find harmony in the eternal, to govern our lives with the constancy of the stars, to remember, amidst the cacophony of change, the silent strength of the unchanging. Here, in the heart of permanence, we find our peace, our order, our enduring governance. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 2, 2024)
