Weaving Change: A Vision for a Just World #1521
Weaving Change: A Vision for a Just World
Be the change you wish to see,
A timeless call for you and me.
Poverty’s face may shift and change,
Yet its cry remains the same.
In shadows deep of history's past,
Feudal chains and slavery's cast,
Modern times bear new disguise,
Yet the need is ever wise.
Justice, compass in our hand,
Compassion guiding through the land.
Rise to advocate, uplift, and stand,
Building a world where all can band.
Poverty once wore chains so clear,
Now it hides, but still is near.
Economic divides, unseen plight,
Still we strive to bring the light.
Be the change, architects of right,
With bricks of advocacy, bold and bright.
Policy change, fair wages in sight,
Homes within reach, a future of light.
In neighborhoods, seeds of hope we plant,
Gardens of opportunity, where hearts enchant.
Volunteer spirits, support in each dance,
Engage in the chorus, give all a chance.
Every choice, a vote we cast,
For a fairer world, our dreams held fast.
Fair trade, responsible and true,
Ethical practices, me and you.
Reflect on roles, in change’s embrace,
Practicing kindness, living with grace.
Every act, a brushstroke of hope,
In this mosaic, together we cope.
A canvas of equity, we shall draw,
Resources flowing to all, no flaw.
Food, water, shelter, healthcare, education,
Shared reality, our new creation.
Economic fairness, opportunities abound,
Supporting the small, locally found.
Social justice, our cornerstone,
Human rights, a creed well-known.
Sustainable horizons, green and bright,
Technologies and practices, a future of light.
People and planet, hand in hand,
For a just world, we take our stand.
To be the change, live with purpose clear,
Engage in justice, cast away fear.
Equality, compassion, actions we blend,
Advocating, participating, until the end.
Psalm 140:12, echoes true,
"Lord, you defend the poor and needy, too."
Together we weave, step by step,
A world of compassion, in unity we kept.
Warm regards,
